The calorie diary for Android

Your deficit.
Every second.

Most diaries show one number in the evening. Live Deficit counts up all day from your estimated burn, drops when you log food and rises again when you log a workout.

Dashboard with remaining kcal to burn, today's live deficit, start, scale and goal weight and the daily budget

Goal estimate

A date instead of a guess.

Four paces — fasting, fast, moderate, relaxed — each with the date you would reach your goal weight if you kept that deficit up every day.

Above it, the calorie matrix shows your net deficit day by day. Both are estimates from your own numbers, not a promise.

Logging food

Search, portion, done.

140 everyday foods are built in and work offline. Pick a portion in grams and the app fills in kcal, protein, carbs and fat.

Need something else? Search Open Food Facts online or scan a barcode. Every entry goes to breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack.

The scale swings with water.
Your deficit does not.

Live Deficit is a calculator and a diary — it estimates, it does not diagnose.

Report

Your week, in plain numbers.

Average deficit per day, pace against your weekly goal, best and weakest day — for 7 days, 30 days or a whole month.

The bar chart shows every single day, surplus days included. Nothing is smoothed away.

Share & print

Take your week with you.

Turn your week board into an image you can share — or order it as a printed poster.

Printing is optional and runs through the print service in your browser; the app only sends what an order needs.

Quick questions.

Who is Live Deficit for?
For anyone who already knows roughly what they eat and wants to see it add up: the deficit runs live all day, food and workouts move it, and the report shows the week. If you would rather not count at all, this is not the app for you.
What does Live Deficit cost?
The app is free to download and has no ads. Live Deficit PRO unlocks the full goal estimate and the deeper analyses, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time purchase. Google Play shows the current prices.
How does Live Deficit make money?
Only through the optional PRO upgrade, plus the poster print orders if you ever place one. There are no ads in the app and no data is sold.
How does the live deficit work?
From your profile — weight, height, age, sex and activity level — the app estimates your daily burn with the Mifflin-St Jeor formula. That estimate ticks up second by second, food you log is subtracted and workouts are added. Like every formula, it is an approximation, not a measurement.
What is the theoretical weight?
A model value: the app converts your accumulated deficit at a fixed 7,000 kcal per kilo of fat and subtracts it from your start weight. It is a calculation next to the scale, not a body measurement — real bodies also shift water, muscle and stomach content.
Does my data stay on the phone?
Your diary — weight, food, workouts, water — stays on the device, without an account, and you can export and import it yourself. Three things do leave it, and only when you use them: the online food search and the barcode scan query Open Food Facts, the optional reminder pushes register your device token with our push service, and a poster order sends the image and your delivery address to the print service.
Which devices and languages?
Android today, through Google Play. There is no iPhone version yet, so the App Store badge is missing on purpose. The app speaks English and German and follows your phone's language.
